Basecamp Headcovers - Navy
Sentinel is proud to introduce a series of head covers made by Japan-based FPS built using Kvadrat textiles.
FPS is a Tokyo based label founded by husband and wife Tomio and Yukiko. Both have unique yet complimentary professions: one runs a commercial facility design office, while the other works in the production of fashion and accessories.
About two years ago, they started making head covers as a hobby. Without any brand image or strategy, they simply enjoy handcrafting pieces they love. Moving forward, Tomio and Yukiko plan to continue at our own pace, focusing primarily on custom orders.
We have been big fans of their work from a distance and love the fact we got to work with them for this project.
Specializing in the art of knits, Kvadrat Febrik brings a secular technique to performance textiles. These fabrics excel in durability due to Kvadrat's specialized spinning process that highlights the robust functional benefits inherent in wool. Their tactile quality, along with integration of the front and back layers through loops and filling yarn, not only achieves a distinctive expression but also make them suitable for a spectrum of climates.
Through Kvadrat's continuous research and development, they ensure that these textiles deliver advanced technical performance and adapt to meet versatile, demanding applications. In addition to this dedication to quality, Kvadrat is also committed to minimizing the environmental impact of these textiles through responsible water usage and incorporation of rainwater in their production.
